Review of Control Topologies for Flux Switching Motor

چکیده

Flux switching Motor (FSM) was invented in the $19^{th}$ century but started gaining importance after 2000. The simple structure and moderate cost of FSM, comparison with existing commutated Direct Current (DC) Permanent Magnet Brushless (PMBLDC) motors, have made it attractive for contemporary applications. Currently, FSM is employed research applications like automobiles, domestic appliances, power generation, etc. To make a viable candidate these applications, modifications are to design, converters, control systems FSM. This article comprehensively reviews various topologies adopted which encompasses torque speed. Different algorithms 1) linear controllers, 2) sensorless techniques, 3) predictive 4) optimization techniques discussed extensively based on literature. Further, case study carried out using algorithms, simulation results analyzed.
